Took a night off from karaoke Friday night to try my hand at the real thing with The Ugly Men at Bell's. Good times all around, but I think I better keep my day job. Here's a couple of pics.

Halloween in December

Today at elementary school I was asked to teach a lesson on Halloween. A little late, sure, but then again there's never a bad time to make newspaper costumes. Check back next week for hand print reindeer.

One seriously f@!*ed up movie

I had a look at Battle Royale last night and it absolutely shook me. Try watching it and then teaching 13-year-olds the next day and you'll see what I mean. Funny thing is, though, it's a good movie. I'm not sure if I can officially recommend this one with a clean conscience, but for pure intrigue I've seen few more enticing films. Eli Roth should take notes.

Fruits of labor

I'm happy to report that we officially raised just over $1100 for prostate cancer research during the month of Movember, with an additional 円10,500 in donations collected at the Movember Gala in support of the Japanese Foundation for the Promotion of Cancer Research. However, I'm even happier to report that my mo earned me third place in the moustache contest and this bottle of scotch.
